    White Dog in Glen Update
Posted by admin on Friday, January 13 @ 14:16:25 CST (10 reads)
Announcements vjaksic writes "I have been in touch animal control regarding the white dog in the Glen. The dog has already been reported to them and has an abusive past and has eluded their new family. Glen families are feeding the dog. Animal Control is willing to set a trap, but it would be better if one of us could get her on a leash and call their non-emergency number at 678-493-4080. (That may be difficult, however). The trap involves setting up food and luring her into a cage, and the caller must be present to sign for the trap. If you are able to get her on a leash and don't want to deal with her, please call Vicky at 404-717-2612 and I will come get her..or, I live at 203 Mayaca CT in the Glen and you can bring her to me. I will arrange for the exchange with animal control."

    White dog in Glen neighborhood
Posted by admin on Thursday, December 22 @ 11:34:59 CST (21 reads)
Misc vjaksic writes "There is a white stray dog roaming the Glen. SHE IS NOT A WOLF OR COYOTE so please don't hurt her. She looks like she may be part white shepherd and part husky, because of her one eye which resembles the clear blue of a husky. Neighbors have sighted the dog roaming the woods and our neighborhood for several months. She is NOT aggressive and does not appear to be rabid. She is on the skinny side. I am trying to gain her trust so I can get her to a vet for a microchip scan. She is very skittish, but after several hours allowed me to sit close enough to take a picture. If you have any information on her, please call Vicky at 404-717-2612. I have given her the name Cracker."

Safety issue - Keep your doors locked!
Posted by admin on Monday, November 14 @ 07:43:13 CST (34 reads)
Misc Scissors64 writes "Tonight (Sunday 11/13/11) around 6:35 pm I was driving home from the grocery store, and as I turned left off of Dunedin Trail onto Cataya Cove I saw someone in the dark standing near the porch/bushes in the front of our house. I'm not sure if they were just getting ready to break in my house, or if they were just casing it to see if anyone was home, or what. They ran around to the right side of the house. I couldn't tell if they were male or female as I was still several houses away from mine, and all I saw was a fast running black form, so they were probably wearing all black. I immediately called 911 and waited until officers could come make sure there was no one inside or in the back yard. Please, everyone be careful when coming home in the dark. Also, make sure you keep your doors locked, even when you are home. This is the prime time of year for people to break in and steal your stuff, Anyway, the nice officers took a look around outside and inside my house and found no one there, thank goodness. I guess my car lights approaching must have scared them off. "
